Being Perfectly Imperfect
Thoughts on beauty
While walking in the park, I noticed some trees that would be considered "not beautiful" if they were humans. Cracked. Branches growing in the "wrong" directions. Some intertwining with other branches.

These "imperfect" trees are growing not because of, but despite of... They are formed by their experience: a crack from damage made by a human, another tree growing right next to it not giving space to form a straight branch, so it bends and adapts. Or a bigger tree, creating shade and blocking the sun, so the smaller tree needs to find its way to the light.

To me, exploring these "imperfect" trees is much more interesting and valuable than looking at a perfectly symmetrical one.

Then I thought: imagine if all trees were perfectly beautiful — straight, smooth, glistening trunks, symmetrical branches, perfectly shaped crowns. How boring that forest would probably have been!

I guess the beauty of life is in imperfections, in differences, in something you can study, gaze at, explore endlessly.

Yes, probably, we are shaped by our experiences — sometimes changed, sometimes wounded or damaged. But that makes us unique. It shapes us in a way that this forest of life is beautiful, vibrant, and alive!

I think life is in unexpected shapes, colors, forms, in unexpected moves.

So, consider yourself beautiful. Consider yourself one of a kind. Consider your experience as unique. Consider yourself a tree — imperfect as it is, forming, together with other trees, a perfectly beautiful forest.
