Realistic watercolors give me an opportunity to explore the subject of my drawing and try to express it with new texture. Sometimes, looking at a sunset sky, I wonder: how would I paint this with watercolor? Which colors and brush strokes would I use? It excites me and connects me to the moment.

I love cafes and beautiful urban streets. Sometimes I paint from real life — while having coffee in a coffee shop, sitting on the sand by the sea, or in the city.

Besides realistic watercolor, I also love to use this medium for intuitive work — the exploration of texture, color, and actually myself.

This is how I created 'The Heart' painting — it was born totally intuitively, without any idea or vision in mind. I just let intuition, color, texture, and the painting itself guide me.

What I find interesting is that everyone sees very different things in this watercolor work. I love that. It gives room for imagination, discussion, new findings, and insights. For me, this is one of the most important purposes of art — to evoke feelings, to give you a chance to connect with yourself, with your inner world, and with others.
